“My belt holds up my pants and my pants have belt loops that hold up the belt. What the fuck’s really goin on down there? Who is the real hero?”
Mitch Hedberg’s last and latest album “Do You Believe In Gosh?” recently dropped.
It was recorded a couple months before he died. It’s a little rough around the edges but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. It’s a really fun album to listen to and the laid back feel to it works in it’s favor..
His performance on this CD has the great delivery and style that Mitch Hedberg was known for.
Even when a joke falls flat, he manages to make it funny which is a mark of a great stand up comic.
Hedberg thinks out loud on stage (he is confused by his own notes when he reads “Tea ski? What the fuck kinda joke is that? I have no clue…”) and engages in plenty of hilarious audience interaction which gives the CD a personal feel.
He drifts back and forth between ridiculous and hilarious which manages to be funny either way.
This isn’t the finished product but it’s all we have. It’s an excellent performance to go out on. Fans of Mitch Hedberg or stand up comedy in general should head out and pick this one up.
I give this CD four broken escalators out of five.

“Don’t bother ringin’ it up, it’s for a duck!”
I don’t believe there is ever a time in my life where I wouldn’t want to listen to Mitch Hedberg.
